If you cancel your contract before transferring your number, your number will be permanently disconnected and you will lose it. The switching process automatically cancels your old contract once your number has moved.

How to Get Your Three PAC Code

The quickest way to get your Three PAC code is to text PAC to 65075 from your Three phone. You'll receive your PAC code by text within a minute.

Family / Multi-line Accounts: If you have multiple numbers (lines) attached to the same account, the text-to-switch service often won't work. In this case, you will need to log into your account online or call customer service to request your PAC.

Text PAC to 65075 from your Three handset. Ofcom rules require Three to send your PAC code within 60 seconds. You can also call 333 from your Three phone or 0333 338 1001 from another phone.

Check whether you are still in your minimum contract term. If so, Three may apply an early termination charge based on the remaining months of your agreement. You can view your contract details in the My3 app.

Select a plan with your chosen provider and supply your PAC code during the sign-up process or shortly after receiving your new SIM.

Your number will port to your new network within one working day. Your Three account is automatically closed once the transfer completes, and you will receive a final bill.

How to Switch to Three

Explore Three's pay monthly, SIM-only, and pay-as-you-go options. Three is well known for generous data allowances and was the first UK network to offer unlimited data as standard on many plans.

Text PAC to 65075 from your current mobile phone. Your provider must reply within 60 seconds with your PAC code. The code remains valid for 30 days.

Complete your order on three.co.uk, in a Three store, or by calling 0333 338 1001. Three will send you a new SIM card or eSIM.

Provide your PAC code to Three through the My3 app, online account, or by calling customer services. Your existing number will move to Three within one working day.

Three STAC Code

If you want to leave Three but do not wish to keep your phone number, text STAC to 75075 from your Three phone. Three must reply within 60 seconds with your STAC code. Pass this code to your new provider and your Three service will be disconnected within one working day. Use a STAC code only if you are happy to receive a brand new number from your next network.

Three is a UK mobile network operator owned by CK Hutchison. Launched in 2003 as the UK's first 3G-only network, Three has built a reputation for offering competitive data plans and was a pioneer of unlimited data contracts. In 2023, a merger between Three and Vodafone was announced, creating the UK's largest mobile network by customer numbers.

How do I get a PAC code from Three?

Is there a charge for leaving Three early?
If you are still within your minimum contract period, Three will charge an early termination fee. This is usually the total of your remaining monthly plan payments. Check the My3 app or call Three to find out your contract end date.
How long does a number transfer from Three take?
After your new provider submits your PAC code, the number transfer usually completes within one working day. There may be a brief loss of service during the switch, typically lasting a few hours at most.
Can I switch to Three and keep my number?
Yes. Text PAC to 65075 from your current network to get a PAC code, then give it to Three when you place your order. Your number will move to Three within one working day.
What happens to my Three device plan when I leave?
If you have a separate device plan (paying off the cost of a phone), this continues independently of your airtime contract. You must continue making device plan payments even after switching your airtime to another network.
Will the Three and Vodafone merger affect my contract?
Existing Three customers will remain on their current contracts and terms. Any changes resulting from the merger will be communicated by Three in advance, and Ofcom protections around contract changes will continue to apply.
